Photo dump from my #nashville trip. This city had the most active downtown area I’ve ever seen, and Broadway street is definitely worth the visit on its own. Will be back soon!
Photo from the estate of the 7th U.S. President, Andrew Jackson. Even in his time he was controversial, but even more so today. It was still cool to see this piece of history during my trip to #nashville
What is it to be truly free? I thought a lot yesterday about what this question means to me. Freedom from your own ego is a good start. So is the freedom from living in a constant state of stress. This chair represents both freedoms, which I’ve only experienced recently.
First week in my new neighborhood is in the books! Enjoying the historic, active vibe, and being within blocks of a bunch of restaurants and cafes. #bishoparts is a neighborhood that feels like a throwback to a century ago when cities where built for people and not cars. I hope it’s a trend that catches on.
One week ago in Texas
This image is a throwback to 2020, taken two days after Christmas and one day after my grandfather’s funeral. The sun was setting on a tough year, and there was a sense of optimism. Now it feels like we’re reaching for a receding goal line, and that lurching from crisis to crisis could be a new normal. To stay grounded, I like to think of things that are both beautiful and unchanging, like sunsets at my childhood home. Staying grounded while moving forward is where contentment comes in a storm.
